It was easy to find...great surroundings..but best part was the staff!!Nothing was too much trouble, and Michael assisted every step of the way through booking and throughout stay.It was noticable how all staff were friendly and welcoming...brilliant!!Beds sooo comfy and to wake to birds singing was fab.Breakfast had a good selection, well presented.
Just needs a little tlc with decor and extra deep clean-shower heads etc

We chose the hotel for its proximity to Thame which was stated as 12 miles but which we discovered was actually 25 miles and hence we were late for a christening. The hotel advertised squash courts (one; used as a storage cupboard) and tennis courts (covered in 2 inches of moss). The hotel is basically a conference centre and we were kept awake by noisy drunken party guests. Would not recommend.

The rooms are nicely decorated, the beds are comfy and staff are usually helpful.
When I checked in I asked for a room on the other side of the Marquee as last time I stayed I was awoken several times by people having an event in the marquee, so made a point of asking for somewhere quiet as I had several business conference calls to make and needed a quiet room. About 6pm there was very loud music and also shouting, screaming and streams of limo's, cars, minibuses and even a fire truck (complete with working sirens) right under my windows. I had to close the windows which didn't help very much and it was a very warm day, I called reception to ask what was going on a it was apparently a "High School Prom" event, hence the loud music and other noise, I did point out that when checking in I had asked for a quiet room and that it would have been nice if the staff on reception had told me that there was a party going on under my window as at least then I'd have known, the hotel was fully booked so I couldn't change rooms. I had enjoyed the stay apart from this gripe, but it may make me reluctant to visit again.

We really liked the hotel lay out and the design of the accomodation in lovely parkland setting... lots of space and trees very relaxing.
We didn't like your reception one tiny bit... The staff were efficient but in a very robotic cold sort of way, no welcoming warmth whatsoever! We were very very disappointed after having driven for 6 hours on crowded motorways to meet with such indifference, we had immediately felt relaxed pulling into the grounds only to be met with an ice wall at reception. You might care to note that all three of the staff we saw displayed the same detached manner. We would, however, recommend your hotel for it's location, price and facilities.

hotel was generally in need of a good clean up and paint job. Looks very corporate from outside as used to be old Nationwide training facility.

We found our stay comfortable for what we needed. The staff were very pleasent and welcoming. The room was nice and ideal for our short stay. However the bathroom was not very clean at all. The toilet had a very strong smell of urine which was a little off putting but nothing a good spring clean wouldnt solve.
Just to repeat the above and mention that the bathroom wasnt very clean.

Comfortable bed
The noise from other guests arriving and rolling their cases on the paving outside my door quite late. Also single woman in ground floor room is not the most sensible location.

Pleasant surroundings, there was a wedding on with live music but we were not disturbed and it stopped when they said it would -- very appreciative.

Very good welcome from reception staff on arrival. Room was clean and there was a good choice of TV programs.
A guide to the hotel in the room would have been useful.

Nice grounds, good location, easy to find, the room was clean, spacious and comfortable. New TV but only freeview.
Food and wine was very dear. Hotel walls are paper-thin. The whole accomodation area is set up like a Butlins and is less than great.
